I'm Erika. I research whether the world model paradigm in AI - systems that build and update internal representations of reality - can be applied to the most intimate domain of all: the developing mind of a learner.
I am currently a Product Management Director at a leading consultancy which means I spend my days helping organisations deploy AI at scale, and my evenings wondering whether any of it is making people genuinely smarter or just more dependent.
This question is personal. Previously, I co-founded an edtech company (acquired by Germany’s largest educational publisher) and attended a boarding school on a scholarship I applied for without telling my parents. This blog is where those threads come together.
